We are proud to announce that Diane F. is our recipient of Golden Horizons’ Caregiver of the Year 2022 award!
Diane has been caring for others for her whole life! When her 6 kids (4 of which were foster children whom Diane & her husband adopted) grew older, Diane decided she was not done helping others and decided to be a caregiver for the elderly. Though she had no previous caregiving experience, her background as a foster mom transferred seamlessly over to working with seniors in need. For 5 years now, she has been using her passion for caring for others to better the lives of her clients, however possible. For some clients, this involves bringing them out for ice cream and a scenic ride in the car to lift spirits. In other cases, it may involve scheduling medical transports for clients to bring them to appointments when necessary. Whatever it may be, Diane is always willing to get to the bottom of any issues and ensure her clients are safe, healthy, and feeling fulfilled in all aspects. Additionally, she is always willing to put in any extra time in communicating with the office and clients’ families to make sure everyone is updated and on the same page.
Diane’s dedication to serving clients is ongoing and never falters. Diane’s clients say that they, “can’t praise her enough” and that she is “absolutely wonderful, kind, and generous”. They love that she always has a positive attitude – and so do we! She is always willing to bend over backwards to do whatever she can to help her clients. An example that shows this is when Diane went on her annual week-long vacation, she scheduled and confirmed rides for her client so that she could continue going to her appointments and exercise classes in Diane’s absence. She always does whatever she can to help.
Diane brings her compassion and willingness to help people to work every day. She goes out of her way to ensure her clients' satisfaction and helps them solve problems to make their everyday lives better. Diane is a warm, friendly, and helpful caregiver to have, and we feel lucky to have her as a part of our awesome caregiver staff. She stands out for her ability to make all people feel welcomed and comfortable, as well as her positive attitude.
