Homemaker / Companion
We are seeking to hire local homemakers and companions for the elderly in the Old Saybrook, Clinton, Madison, Essex, Westbrook, Lyme/Old Lyme, Niantic, and Waterford areas. No license or previous experience is required – we offer paid training to all staff.

Many of our caregivers have varying professional backgrounds. What all our employees have in common is a strong desire to help others.
Job Responsibilities
Every client varies in terms of their personal needs. Some may need help around the house performing general activities, while others are looking for company and socialization. Here are some tasks you may be asked to perform as a homemaker/companion:

Light housekeeping

Meal preparation
-
Medication reminders
-
Assist with activities of daily living
-
Socialization
-
Kitchen/Bathroom cleaning
-
Vacuum and dusting
-
Transport and accompany to appointments, errands, Senior Center, etc.

Grocery shopping
-
Companionship: go for walks, take client for a ride in the car, play cards, board games
Job Requirements
Providing top-notch care starts with you! Your ability to care is a gift. In addition to this, we also require that all of our caregivers possess the following qualities:

Reliable means of transportation. Driver’s license/car not required but caregiver must be able to have his/her own means of getting to and from client’s homes.

Kind heart with a passion for serving others

Previous experience preferred, but not required!

Ability to pass federal background check

Ability to pass drug test

At least 1-2 professional references

Ability to speak English sufficiently so as to perform the duties of the job
