According to Title V of the ACA of 2010, health literacy is “the degree to which an individual has the capacity to obtain, communicate, process, and understand basic health information and services to make appropriate health decisions.” It is high time we got on the bandwagon to understanding health, wellness and the resources available to us.
As we discussed in our October edition of the Golden Nuggets Newsletter, October is Health Literacy Month.
