“We have been most grateful to Golden Horizons for the
wonderful service you provided for my husband when he was no
longer able to drive, but still had a yearning to pursue his many
interests. To continue, your drivers were always very friendly and
reliable, well-versed in the itinerary for the day, along with back
up plans for alternative routing should the need arise. Thank you,
Golden Horizons, for making the outings of his later years so
pleasant and memorable.” ~ Most Sincerely, The Frank Family
Alphy joined the Golden Horizons team last October. He is the text book definition of "one of a kind." His cheerful personality is as big as he is tall. His joyful spirit comes through in his words and actions and he makes everyone he comes into contact with smile, even on their gloomiest day. He is a devoted caregiver with a kind and caring soul. We are fortunate to have him on our team. Congratulations Alphy!

gratitude research, Dr. Robert Emmons, Ph.D., of the University of California, the following has been found:
- Gratitude improves physical health.
- Gratitude improves psychological health.
- Gratitude enhances self-esteem.
- Gratitude improves energy levels.
- Gratitude reduces stress.
- Gratitude improves sleep quality.
- Gratitude enhances empathy.
- Gratitude decreases aggression.
- Gratitude promotes better exercise habits.

- Gratitude promotes progress toward personal goals.
- Gratitude creates opportunities for better relationships.
When people are grateful, we see benefits individually, corporately, in business and in nations. The question is, how can we practice being more grateful? Studies found that those who practiced prayer and meditation tended to be more grateful. Other ways: write a thank you note, take a moment and mentally count your blessings and acknowledge what you’re thankful for, keep a gratitude journal. This November, take a moment to express for what and for whom you are thankful.
