Exercise regularly and remember to start off slow especially if you are just becoming active again. Try different stretches and walk 30 minutes a day, 4-5 times a week. In a recent study, “women who performed strenuous physical activity, enough to cause sweating or a faster heartbeat, two to three times per week were about 20 percent less likely to develop heart disease, strokes or blood clots compared with women who reported little or no activity.”
It’s also good to talk with your doctor about the risks of heart disease and see what he/she suggests to maintain a healthy heart.
These are just a few good tips for a great start, to having a healthy heart.
