Caring for Someone with Alzheimer's or Dementia

As Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other memory loss occurs over time, seniors, families, and caregivers are faced with a wide array of challenges. It can be difficult to see memory loss progress further to become mental and physical decline. Golden Horizons is here to help give a spouse, family member, or friend a break with caring for the affected individual(s).

While Golden Horizons does not provide advanced Alzheimer’s or dementia care, most of our caregivers have experience with clients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Golden Horizons does not offer “dementia care” services, but can perform homemaking, companion, or personal care duties to clients who may be affected by dementia.

Our caregivers and staff continually display compassion, sensitivity, and experience when caring for clients who may have Alzheimer’s or dementia. We understand that these diseases can cause a person to act in unpredictable ways, often leading to misunderstanding, frustration, and tension for the individual and the person providing care. Our caregivers can improve the quality of life not only for the client themselves but also for their loved one. Let us help you out by giving you peace of mind that your loved one is in caring hands!
