At Golden Horizons, we only hire thoroughly screened and experienced caregivers. We hold high standards for our employees – they must be competent, kind, respectful, and professional. All caregivers are bonded and insured with professional liability and worker’s compensation, and are employees of Golden Horizons. As an incentive to our employees, we offer personal health insurance and a 401k. Many of our caregivers have been with the company for a number of years. We treat our caregivers as we expect them to treat our clients – with kindness and respect. Prior to hiring, every potential caregiver undergoes the following process:
Our staff is comprised of Certified Nursing Assistants, Home Health Aides, Homemakers, and Companions. Each caregiver is required to submit a weekly activity sheet and keep pertinent notes on each client in a communications notebook located at the client’s home. Monitoring by our office staff and RN is conducted through communication with the caregivers, clients, family, and other professionals (as necessary) to assure quality service. For the benefit of the client we use a phone monitoring (telephony) system to properly account for all hours worked. This helps to insure that you are billed accurately. We do our utmost to match the specific needs of the client with the capability, personality, and proper skill set of the caregiver. |
